1. Harbor Breeze KUJCE9603 FAN-35T Remote

Harbor Breeze Ceiling Fan Remote Control (1)

Harbor Breeze KUJCE9603 FAN-35T Remote is a non-universal, handheld remote that can be used at 75 feet of distance from your fan.

Isn’t it great? Well, for me, it’s. If you’re a person like me who has been using a remote with a 60 feet distance range, the additional 15 feet will be advantageous.

As far as compatibility matters, it’s not suitable for any fan—I tested it, and only certain models of Harbor Breeze ceiling fans can be paired and operated with it.

Since some of the ceiling fans I tested were teamed up with FAN30R or FAN-30R receivers, I could pair all these with this remote and utilize it to operate them.

Interestingly, I enjoyed a wide range of its functions and operations when paired. The remote has 5 buttons—3-speed (high/medium/low) to supervise the fan’s speed, 1 OFF button to turn the fan off, and 1 Light Dimmer to control the light dimming function. I was able to operate both the dimmable and incandescent LED bulbs with it.

If you’re a tech enthusiast like me, there is another good news: you can use the learn key to program the remote. The only condition is that the ceiling fans must use the same frequency to be paired, controlled, and customized.

Don’t worry! This remote operates at 16 different frequencies to prevent any mutual interference.

For your information, this transmitting remote doesn’t come with batteries. Although it might be strange for you, it’s for me as I know it already.

Therefore, be ready with a 12V A23 battery when you get the remote. Just put the battery in this 2.5 x 1.5 x 0.7 inches ivory-coloured remote and enjoy up to 12 months of battery time!

2. Harbor Breeze FAN-53T Remote Control

Harbor Breeze Ceiling Fan Remote Control (2)

The FAN-53T ceiling fan remote control is a universal replacement remote for Hampton Bay, Hunter, and Harbor Breeze ceiling fans.

If I talk specifically about the Harbor Breeze, this FAN-53T remote control is a perfect replacement for KUJCE9103, L3HFAN11T, FAN-11T, UC7070T, FAN-HD5, and FAN-HD remote models.

Before I dive deep into the further details, I would like to tell you one thing—the FAN-53T remote control operates on a 303.9 MHz (≈ 304 MHz) frequency with a range of up to 60 feet.

If the original remote that came with your fan operates on a different frequency, this remote won’t work despite the overall looks being similar.

That said, one thing that impressed me the most while testing this remote is its easy installation. All I did was take off the battery cover, look at the DIP codes inside the battery placement, and match the DIP switches on the remote with the ones on the old remote or ceiling fan.

They matched, so I slid the switches in, put in the battery, and it worked.

This 2.13 x 0.94 x 4.92 inches remote features 5 buttons for different purposes; 3 buttons for High, Medium, and Low, 1 OFF button, and 1 Light Dimmer to customize the dimming settings.

Interestingly, Light Dimmer, in green color, is a luminous button, making it easy to locate the remote if you lose it in the dark.

Like the Harbor Breeze KUJCE9603 FAN-35T Remote, the FAN-53T ceiling fan remote control is just a transmitter. But it can be used to operate the majority of 110 V 3-speed ceiling fans.

It uses a 12 V A23 battery to do all its operations. Although there is no reverse button, it can work with the fans with a reverse switch.

3. Harbor Breeze 4.72-in Off-White Handheld Universal Ceiling Fan Remote Control Model #40837

Harbor Breeze Ceiling Fan Remote Control (3)

The Harbor Breeze 4.72-in 3-speed Off-white ceiling fan remote is a versatile, handheld, universal remote that can be used with most ceiling fans for both indoor and outdoor conditions.

When I say outdoor, it means the covered outdoor environment—the remote isn’t waterproof, so you can’t bring it out in direct rain.

It may not work for you, but the off-white color is a blessing for me. Harbor Breeze 4.72-in 3-Speed 40837 looks great with the walls of my home that are also painted in off-white color. This brings me joy and charm to my home’s aesthetics.

In addition, operating this remote is very straightforward. There are a total of 5 buttons: 3 for speed settings (High, Medium, Low), 1 Off, 1 Delay, and 1 Light Control button.

Operating is also very simple. You must be familiar with the first four buttons—simply set the settings want with the first three or turn your fan off with the Off button.

But how to operate the other buttons? It’s simple! To turn the light off after a while, simply press the Delay button and find your destination until the light turns off in the next 1 minute.

For light control, press the button and hold it to brighten or dim the light (Incandescent Bulbs) as you wish.

Simply put, Harbor Breeze 4.72-in 3-Speed 40837 is a good-looking, versatile remote control. I just love it. But I found some people wishing for some extra features.

According to them, the shuts off feature only turns off the light. It would be even better if it works the same way for fans as well.

4. Harbor Breeze Universal Ceiling Fan & Light Wall Control #0130622

Harbor Breeze Ceiling Fan Remote Control (4)

Although I’m a big fan of the wireless remote to control my ceiling fans, they often get lost anywhere, or, sometimes, my pets pick them up and throw them into my garden.

To resolve this issue, I have installed the Harbor Breeze universal ceiling fan & light wall control #0130622 in my living room.

It is a universal, wall-mounted switch that allows you to control the speed and light settings of your Harbor Breeze ceiling fan from up to 40 feet of range.

Since it is a universal remote, you can easily program it to work with most 3- or 4-speed Harbor Breeze ceiling fans. Additionally, it’s extremely easy to install and set up with your fan.

To set up this wall switch, you only need a 120V electrical supply (using a 12-2 electrical cable) at the fan box, which is the connection point for the ceiling fan.

And a 3-wire electrical cable (12-3, which includes three conductors plus a ground wire) running from the fan box to the location of the wall switch.

Other than that, I can confidently say this remote’s design is also worth discussing. The sleek and modern design of this white wall-mounted switch looks stylish and beautifully mixes into my home’s decor.

Although this 4.7 x 2.3 x 1.2 inches remote is made of durable plastic and metal, 2.4 ounces of weight isn’t much for this.

The only bad news is that you might not find this remote in your local store, but a lot of good news. One of the good news is that the two sliding buttons are designed very intelligently—the one to turn off the fan and adjust the speed of the fan is a bit harder, so you don’t accidentally adjust the light. It’s indeed a clever move!
