How To Farm Mother's Gifts
Every Mother's Gift Reward
Mother's Gifts are items you can get from felled enemies in Diablo 4's Season 5 content, with your character receiving rewards from all the collection tiers associated with these objects. Gathering a certain number of Gifts will help you reach milestones tied to random earnings. As it becomes harder and harder to reach reward tiers, you'll want to know every way you can farm Gifts as the new season continues.
Alongside a new selection of Unique items in Diablo 4 Season 5, Mother's Gifts are fairly rare items dropped by Elite enemies or bosses. Certain Nightmare Dungeons or world events like Helltides are the perfect places to farm Gifts as you explore Sanctuary. However, there are better ways to farm these items consistently so that you can earn the rewards from them much faster without a tedious grind.

How To Farm Mother's Gifts
Search For Greater Seasonal Challenges
The more challenging an event or enemy is, the more likely it is to drop a Mother's Gift as you continue traveling around your map. Higher World Tiers in Diablo 4 with greater difficulty tend to drop more Mother's Gifts than in any other setting. This is due to the increased health and attack of enemies, as well as the greater spawn rates of Elite foes who are tied to Gift drops within a seasonal world.
One of the best places to farm Mother's Gifts is within the new Infernal Hordes mode, an alternate combat space where your character takes on wave after wave of Hell's greatest evils. The constant waves of tough enemies can yield Gifts fairly often as long as you survive. Take a strong character build into this mode to go through many different waves for abundant rewards alongside any Gifts that drop.
When you see a Gift on the ground, all you need to do is walk over it to pick it up. Anyone on a Mount can do this automatically as well, but keep in mind that pets can also go out and pick up these items for you if you're busy fighting.
As the number of Gifts you need grows larger, you should try to visit events that often repeat or clear dungeons multiple times to maximize the possibility of receiving the item you want. Helltides are once again a great place to farm Gifts, but it can be hard to predict when these world events occur. Try to use characters of strong classes in Season 5 to take on enemies strong enough to drop Gifts no matter where you look.

Earn Caches And Boxes With Random Items
There are 20 total reward tiers for collecting Mother's Gift items, with each tier demanding more Gifts than the last. For example, it only takes one Mother's Gift to gain the first tier rewards, but the second requires 15 before you get anything. You can track how many items you need for the next tier by going to The Mother's Gift menu, which shows you what rewards you've gained and which ones are next.
Don't rely too much on Mother's Gift rewards for farming Affixes in Diablo 4 or any specific type of item. Most rewards from Mother's Gifts are random, derived from loot Chaces that can drop several different items at your character's feet when opened. You have a high chance of getting Legendary gear from a Legendary Cache, but it is almost never guaranteed to be an item your character can use.
